This work was developed over the duration of a year. There are several paintings underneath the final version, that include automatic writing and imagery relating to the cthonic feminine, water, and menstrual cycles. In the final version, a couple traverses a complex moonlit river. The woman offers a flower blossom to the water. This couple symbolizes the masculine (animus) and the feminine (anima) within myself traversing the journey of life, symbolized by the river.
